I still remember the first time I felt truly embarrassed in public. It happened when I was a kid, standing inside a McDonald’s. Something small by adult standards occurred, but in that moment, it felt overwhelming. I wished I could disappear. It wasn’t dramatic or memorable to anyone else, but for me, it was a powerful lesson in awareness and emotional intelligence.
